Amish Country

We were expecting to be staying another week or so in PA, so Friday we decided to take our first little family trip. We drove out to Lancaster County to visit some of the Amish Country. Pennsylvania as a whole was absolutely beautiful, and to see this country and way of life was amazing. We really enjoyed the day, and highly reccommend it!

Lots of the farms were harvesting their tobacco. They have huge barns that they hang the tobacco in to dry. It was gorgeous to see.

Many of the roads we drove on are covered like this one...breathtaking for those of us who haven't seen GREEN in forever!

Loved the famous covered bridges.

I'm not sure how many people or families live here, but this is just one Amish homestead.

This is a bike/scooter...(no seat)

Chase was a trooper...he slept the whole trip, we woke him up to feed him on the side of the road, then got back at it.

This is our home away from home...the hotel we stayed in!
