Why do they grow so quickly?

For the past few months, Chase has been having some seperation anxiety with Brad or I are not in sight. This is Chase "helping" daddy work one afternoon.
 Aviators??!
I'd like to think my boy is smart..Without help or prompting, he can place each animal in the correct spot, facing forward....pretty incredible!
Britton sitting in her bumbo for the first time.
 He adores his dogs!

 and remotes!
In the exer-saucer for the first time. She loved it for about ten minutes... I have to pad her in with a blanket because she is so little still.
 They really love each other.
 Daddy and his sleeping beauty.
Chase is always talking on the phone...whether it be a toy, a phone, or his hand..he is developing quite an imagination.
I decorated our Christmas tree during nap time. Even after waking up, he really didn't take notice of it for a few hours..once he did, he seemed to be in awe. I asked if he thought it was pretty and he shook his head  and said "yeah yeah".

Thanksgiving Holidays!

We kicked off our Thanksgiving marathon on Wednesday afternoon at the ranch with my dad, CoCo, My sister, Shane, and Kyleigh. Somehow We were having so much fun that we didn't get any group photos. I did manage to get Chase on the saddle with his cowboy hat on!
Thursday we went out to Fair Oaks to have Thanksgiving with my grandmother and rest of our little family. We had tons of fun, and it was such a joy watching both of my angels enjoy the day!
Several years ago we had lots of heartache trying to start a family....then we were blessed with Chase...I would have never guessed that 11 short months later we would be blessed with Britton. Life may be a bit crazy sometimes...but we have LOTS to be thankful for this year, and I couldn't be more proud of the family we have become. Everyone should have the ability to experience the joy of parenthood!

I love getting photos of both of my babies...Chase loves Britton, but he doesn't like her laying on him...this is the best I could get.
Cousins! Kyleigh will be one year old tomorrow, Chase will be 15 months old tomorrow, and Britton will be 4 months old on December 6th.
 My little loves!

Uncle Shane with Kyleigh and Britton

Too much turkey for her....yeah right! Maybe next year.Britton weighs less than the turkey my grandmother cooked! She is still our tiny girl (11 pounds)...but she can hold her own!
Friday we packed up and left early in the morning to head up to Paradise to visit family and celebrate our niece Bryleigh's first birthday! Britton adores her Grampa..and I think he adores her!
He is the most handsome boy I've ever seen.
Cousin Danae is the best babysitter!

 Chase playing with puppies!
 and a baby pig!
Cousin Dustin is a great source of entertainement for Chase...they will cause a lot of trouble as they get older!

We had one busy Thanksgiving holiday, but wouldn't trade it for the world! We have wonderful family and look forward to all the memories in the making!

Britton's Room

Ok, ok..I know it's about time. Britton's room has been a work in progress.. I learned with Chase that there was no point in rushing the room since they don't really USE it for months. I'm not quite finished, but the bulk of it us done.

I really wanted to find an old baby doll cradle for her to store toys in and also play with when she is big enough...luckily I found one and re-did it with an antique crackle finish. My sister and I also made a little mattress and pillow for it.
Her window curtans are purple with white polka dots.
She already has quite an extensive bow collection (btw..I made the bow holder)
A pinterest inspired wall art...it turned out really cute.

For those of you who know me...purple is my all time favorite color...I sure hope it's Britton's too!
These paper lanters are hung in both corners of the ceiling over her crib.

I lack something colorful to hang above one of her dressers..any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Colorado Weekend

Last weekend we packed up and took a quick trip to Colorado. We have great friends who live in Denver and have a family condo in Granby...they invited us to join them there for the weekend. With Brad's work travels, he has racked up free flights, and he has a companion pass...and Chase flies free since he's under 2yrs old. My mom kept Britton at home, and we headed out! We had a blast seeing Granby, Grand Lake, and Winter Park. Can't wait to go back!
Chase's first time in the snow..he loved it!

 LOVE my boys!

 Brad's footprint, Chase's and mine..
 Our sweet family...minus Britton
Chase was a trooper the whole trip. The only break down he had was on our way back to the condo for Chase to take a nap. After he fell asleep, I went in to check on him, and this is what I found.....this obviously explained why he was having a meltdown. The poor guy fell asleep sitting up (and yes, I did lay him over after I took the photo).

 Chase with his buddy Bobby

Trying out helmets for when he can ski in a few years!
Brad had a hard time being this close to the slopes, and not being able to partake in the fun!

Every mountain man has to take a break once in awhile.

Thankfully it snowed on our last morning. Chase wasn't sure what to think, but I was glad it snowed for him!
Stopped at this little sweet shop on our way back to Denver

See you next time Colorado!
