At Gran's House

On Tuesday, Chase and I went to spend the day with my Grandmother (Gran), which is Chase's Great-Grandmother. She lives in Fair Oaks Ranch/Boerne, and the surroundings are absolutely breathtaking. It was a beautiful day outside so why not snap some photos of my handsome boy!?

Pretty Babies=Pretty Pictures!

Last weekend we went to Marble Falls for a long time family friend's wedding... the wedding was absolutely gorgeous, and you know us...pretty babies+pretty surroundings=gotta take some pictures!

In case you can't tell, Chase is really into waving these days...he was waving at anyone and everyone who was in his line of sight...even if they weren't paying attention to him.

Cousins! They look about the same size, but Kyleigh is actually exactly three months younger than Chase. Chase is weighing in at exactly 20 pounds these days.

 I love my family!



My First Mother's Day!

Mother's day is a day that I have dreamed about for many years....I can't even describe the feeling I have when I think about how I am now a mom, and will forever be one! It is definitely the most rewarding, fun, challenging, special, and imortant job I will ever have! We laugh, because my mother's day weekend wasn't exactly like we had hoped... we had been out of town all week, and upon returning home, Chase got sick...a few days later Brad got sick, and then twelve hours later I got sick! We all had the worst stomach virus I've ever had! We took turns taking care of Chase, who really wasn't bothered  by the fact that he didn't feel well, no stopping him! On the other hand, Brad and I were beyong exhuasted, and weak, so it was quite challenging. Sunday morning Chase woke us up, so I brought him into our room, where he then feel asleep in our bed, look how big he looks! Then we went out to have brunch with my mom and grandmother...we were still a little bit tired and weak, but all in all, my first mother's day was perfect! I hope all you moms had a fabulous mother's day!

Eight is GREAT!

It's been awhile since my last update, but things have been great! Chase turned EIGHT months old on April 28th, which was also our 5th wedding anniversary! Chase learned to crawl realllly well at 7 1/2 months, and from then on, things have been in high gear around here! He is so curious and is getting into everything! Pretty much the same day he really mastered the crawling, he began pulling on and standing...and shortly after climbing! It's fun to watch how proud of himself he is!

 This was the first night in big boy pajamas (meaning no more of the one piece footed zip up suits).

 The week of his eight month birthday, both bottom center teeth made their debut, it's reallly hard to get them in a photo, but you can sort of see them here...

 Over the past few weeks Chase has gotten lots of cousin play time in, here is with Kyleigh

 I know most kids enjoy music, but lately we have discovered that Chase reallllly enjoys it! The minute he hears music, he starts to bounce and rock, which he thinks is dancing. He likes watching American Idol, and he crawls from our living room to the office and strums on Brad's guitar....maybe we have a future musician on our hands??

 Thanks to CoCo, we have the amazing BabyBreeza baby food maker that we've been using...here we are making carrots which are one of Chase's favorites.

 Chase likes helping dad put things together in his room.
