Here are a few pictures from today. We got a new puppy and named her Piper. We took both of them to the ranch today and let Moose run around and play in the river, and Piper just kind of figured things out as she went.

Our New Dog

Ok, ok, while most of you guys are bloging about your children, we will blog about our new dog until we have children to blog about ;-) We decided we wanted to get a dog, and decided that we wanted to adopt a Lab. I searched all options, and found a Dog/Cat Rescue in San Antonio called SNIPSA (SNIPSA.ORG). They go to the pound and look for animals to recue and then eventually adopt out. They also sometimes take animals from people who have decided they don't want them anymore. We have been very impressed with SNIPSA, and highly reccommend it to anyone interested in adopting an animal. All of the animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations when you adopt one. They live with foster families until they get adopted which is great, you can get to know the dog and the foster family sort of helps transition them for a new home. We found out about this chocolate lab, and when we saw him we loved him. We named him Moose, he is about 18 months old and weighs in at about 75 pounds right now. He is a big silly puppy. He listens well, and seems to be adjusting just fine. We will be getting a second dog, and playmate for Moose, he has a lot of energy, and will probably do better with another dog. More photos from the ranch trip

Happy New Year!

Over the New Year, we went with Kristin and Shane to Shane's ranch and had a blast! I got a new camera for Christmas, so I of course took lots of photos! We went bow hunting and saw lots of wildlife....well, actually it was more like Brad went bow hunting and I went along with him for support ;-) nothing like being that close to wild animals and them not know you are there. Brad made an awesome shot with his bow and killed a huge hog...it was awesome! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

A little late for Christmas...

Well, we have been really busy since Christmas...so I am really late on getting some pictures up. We had a great time over the holidays, saw lots of family and ate lots of good food...
