Still on Course!
Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. At this point, everything is still on course! The baby is due September 1st, so we are thinking he will make his debut more like mid-late August. We had a SKYPE session with the birth parents a few weeks ago that went really well. We were able to see them and talk with them, they were very sweet. We are hoping that her doctor will schedule her for an induction at her next appointment, which would make it easier for everyone all around, and especially for us to travel there. I'll let you know when we know anything more!

It's a BOY!
We are happy to announce that we have officially been "matched" for an adoption case. We will proceed on as normal, knowing that there is still a chance that the birth mother could change her mind and decide to keep the baby at any point. The birth father has already signed his papers, and the birth mother will be allowed to sign 24 hours after the birth of the baby. Nothing will be final until then.
The baby boy is due on September 1st...so not too far away! We will be traveling outside of our great state of Texas, so that means flying on a plane with a newborn to come home....should be interesting...but we will be so happy!
We have been working on baby registries, knowing that a case could present itself at any time, so we have enjoyed getting to choose items for a child...It has been a goal of mine to keep things as "normal" as possible, and get to do the things I have always dreamed of getting to do. For now...we wait, pray, and try not to get our hopes up toooooo much. We have begun to discuss names...it is so hard! Any suggestions:-)???
With all of this being said...I will soon be making our blog private, to protect our (potential) little guy. I have to figure out how to do this, I know that you will need to sign in to view our post...and I know this is kind of a pain, but it is something that we need to do. I would love to know who reads our posts...and know if it's even worth keeping up with. If you guys wouldn't mind, please respond to this post or email/call/text me with your email address so I can add you to the list so you will be able to view our blog posts.
We look forward to the next couple of months, and hope that they fly by! We will definitely keep you updated and I will notify you when the blog is private.
