The day after Christmas we all loaded up and headed to Breckenridge, Colorado! We flew into Denver and rented a van (which was really cool), and drove to Breckenridge. We stopped in Idaho Springs to eat some pizza at Beaujo's....really good!

I think Southwest Airlines should pay me for this pic. What do you think?

All packed in there (somehow)! :-)

Best place for rentals! Gotta love anything from Texas, and a Red Raider at that!

Heading our for our first ski day! We got so lucky with the weather, it was about 20 degrees, sunny, no wind...Perfect for skiing!

Photo taken @ the top of the peak. We rode the T bar lift (which was a little scary), and made it all the way down without falling!

***Notice the sign that says "EXPERT TERRAIN ONLY"***

Brad's mom has never been on skis before, so we made an attempt at the condo...I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!

Mid-week we drove over to Keystone to ride the gondola up the mountain. We had lunch at the top...another day of beautiful weather which was helpful for taking pictures.

She was thrilled, can't you tell?

This is a view of Breckenridge from the Keystone gondola. Beautiful!

Back in Breck, we went shopping, and of course had to eat at Bubba Gumps!

How adorable is this pic of this little ski bunny that I took??

Here we are!

We had an early flight out of Denver, so instead of waking up at 3am to get ready and drive, we decided to leave the evening before and drive to Denver for the night. We stopped in Georgetown at this cute little candy shop, I would highly recommend the stop!

Ok, so this is the only part of the trip that was a little hairy! When we got to the Denver Airport (@ 6:30am and 15 degrees), the hotel shuttle van's back doors wouldn't open! ALL of our bags were back there... In case you haven't been in a shuttle van, the back of the van is divided with a plexiglass wall so bags don't fall on the people in the third row.....which ultimately means, our bags were stuck! After about 20 minutes of trying everything we could think of, (which NO help from the shuttle driver because she was freaking out), Brad and another man from the shuttle busted the plexiglass and squeezed our bags out. All in all, we got our bags, we were safe and we were at the airport about three hours early (because security was supposed to be so bad, turned out to be just fine)...

Hard to see, but Brad is holding a piece of the plexiglass wall. I had do document this!

And we have lift off....from the airplane! Isn't the Denver airport interesting?

Thank you for your great blog, Jen! It is wonderful to be able to keep up with all the activities of the Martin and Hamby families. You got some great shots of the trip and Brynlee. And, you are a cute little snow bunny yourself!
